Este vino forma parte del grupo de esos vinos totalmente desconocidos que te regalan con todo el cariño del mundo y que no sabes que cara poner al recibirlo.
Investigando un poco, descubrimos que procede de una bodega familiar, de los hermanos Francisco Javier y Enrique de Hoz Sualdea que forman parte de una familia de viticultores muy reconocidos desde hace muchos años. La bodega se llama Bodegas y viñedos de Hoz Sualdea, S.L. por si alguien pudiera estar interesado en contactar con ellos.
A la vista, el color es rojo guinda, oscuro, limpio e intenso, con ribetes violáceos, lágrima lenta, buenas sensaciones a los ojos.
En nariz, es fácil identificar muchas características comunes a los vinos de Ribera del Duero. Frutas oscuras muy patentes, algo de madera pero se imponen las frutas. Noto algún aroma a pan tostado, a café y a cacao. Parece amargo.
En boca, amplio, redondo, muy intenso, con cuerpo medio tirando a alto. Se confirma que es más amargo de lo que me hubiera gustado.
La próxima botella la abriré antes, mejora bastante con la aireación. Tampoco mucho tiempo, con 20 minutos es suficiente.
Un buen descubrimiento. No sé ni el precio ni la forma de conseguirlo por lo que no puedo hablar de relación calidad-precio pero lo intentaré averiguar.
Realmente recomiendo probar estos vinos. No entiendo por qué muchas veces tomamos vinos tan mediocres y estas etiquetas están tan escondidas. Quizás sea por el coste o por la política comercial de los bodegueros pero es una pena.
También debo decir que el vino deja sedimentos tánicos en la botella. Para todas aquellas personas que piensen que esto siempre es malo en vinos de poca crianza (este tiene 12 meses en barrica de roble nuevo, según dice la etiqueta), mejor que no prueben el vino porque estarán condicionados. Yo me di cuenta tarde y eso implicó que, a posteriori, me sorprendiera todavía más la calidad del vino.

Realmente este vino, es mas de lo que parece. Ribera muy equilibrado, frutas oscuras muy patentes, madera aunque menos. Aroma a pan tostado, a café y a cacao.
En boca, amplio, redondo, muy intenso, con cuerpo medio.
